The atrium of Klein College of Media and Communication transformed into a hub for the children’s media industry during the 7th Annual Children’s Media Career Symposium. Nearly 100 students, alumni, faculty, researchers and community partners attended the event, which brought together leaders from PBS Kids, Sesame Workshop, WHYY, Fablevision, Dubit International and more.
Hosted by the Center for Media and Information Literacy and the Certificate in Children’s Media program, the symposium featured two panels focused on key issues in the industry. The first panel explored current trends in children’s media, while the second focused on career development and the many pathways into the field.
Panelists shared insights on a wide range of topics during the Q&A, including advice for job seekers, how diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are shaping content, the impact of artificial intelligence on job roles, and new innovations in animation. Following the panels, attendees had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with panelists for personalized conversations and career advice.
Temple University is proud to offer the only undergraduate certificate in the country focused specifically on media for children and youth.
